Lafitte's pedigree goes all the way back to my first hamsters, in fact to many other hamstery's first hamsters as well. She's not a color that is seen very often and being umbrous makes it even more unusual. She has a chance of carrying Dark Grey and I'll test breed her for it with her next litter. She's not a very big hamster but she's sweet and an excellent mother. She was nervous by the whole picture taking process and would jump every time the camera flashed, which was a lot! Since she was scared, she kept her ears back the whole time so I'll probably try to get some better pictures at some point. The one thing about Lafitte's color that I do find interesting is that unlike Dove, the color of a Champagne's eyes do darken with age, though not as fast as other Cinnamon combinations.
